Welcome to WACHAE (Women and Children's Helth and Education), an organization dedicated to supporting women and girls in impoverished communities and safeguarding them from challenges such as early marriages and other harmful practices.
Who We Are
Wachae Initiative, a women-led organization founded in 2020 by two nurses named Sandra and Joan in Uganda. Our Vision. is to raise the standards of living for women and children in local communities through improving health and education. As an organization, we believe that women and children are the linchpin to a thriving society. Join us today in creating a brighter future where every woman and child has the opportunity to reach thier full potential.
Our mission
To improve the lives of women and Children in local communities through education, health , economic empowerment and social amenities. This is made possible through;
Establishment of educational initiatives
That focus on providing quality education for women and children in local communities. This can include scholarships, vocational training, and adult literacy programs.
Development and promotion of accessible healthcare services.
Specifically tailored to the needs of women and children. This can involve setting up clinics, organizing health camps, and providing essential healthcare resources.
Creating opportunities for women.
To develop sustainable livelihoods through skill-building programs, entrepreneurship training, and access to microfinance initiatives. Encourage financial literacy and support the establishment of women-led businesses.
Conducting awareness campaigns
And outreach programs to raise awareness about women’s and children’s rights, gender equality, and the importance of education, health, and empowerment. Utilize various media channels and community engagement strategies
Engaging in advocacy
Efforts to promote women’s and children’s rights at the local, regional, and national levels. Collaborate with policymakers and stakeholders to influence policies that protect and support the well-being of women and children.
